OK. I'm using an earlier version and thought that might be the case. I'll install 3.03 and see what FPS I get with DX 11.

What speed is your CPU running at?

    Hey, Mike and Bleco!

Great work from both of you...
You guys have motivated me to assemble my motion seat again.
I did that yesterday and tried Mike's profile. Can you confirm which x-Sim version you guys are using now?

The game is great, not a sim, but lots of fun still!

Bleco, thanks for the cam change, I will try it tonite.
The original cockpit view is just TOO low, I was getting dizzy driving on that position! LoL

I will try to make a short video later today or tomorrow.

    Cheers,

    MY

You I7 920 is not even sweating at that speed. I would suggest an overclock to about 3.6ghz which can easily be done on stock cooling. You sould see a fairly good performance increase at that speed.

    Hi MY,

Glad to have you back. I'm using the most current version of x-sim .13. I've made a few changes to the profile and will be posting an update shortly.

I am not a fan of overclocking ... and I really don't think my cpu is causing a bottleneck when running F1 2010. Presently the game performance is very good with maxed out settings and I do not see any sluttering. Will monitor the cpu tonight just for fun ...

    Thx anyway!

I believe you mean 2.1.0.13 which is the same as 2.0.8.9, right?

I am really outdated on the latest and greatest changes... But, I remember I still have 2.0.8.9 installed.

The thing is that your profiles quite didn't work for me.
It is like there is too much short movements (actuator are kind grinding) and then the long is too strong.
I was tweaking it yesterday, but didn't get to a behavior I like.

Would it be because of my 100mm actuators? Any tips?

    Thanks!

    Bleco,

There are games o/c helps, others it doesn't, you would have to test and see.

I have noticed some frame skipping. But performance is good @ 60 fps.
I will try this tonite, will point the replay file to my SSD.

Please, let me know when you will put the cam files back here, I really wanted to test them when I get home.
Maybe you can send me the Ferrari ones now, and the rest later! :)

    Cheers,

    MY

    Hi MY,

Yes, I have 2.1.0.13 which is the same as 2.0.8.9 which does not have the community features.

I believe the short movements are being cause by the high acceleration values that I'm using for the SCN5's try reduce it from 60% down to whatever feels good for your sim. I have a lot of dampening on my sim rig so the smaller vibrations will be dampened a bit but I like a high acceleration value to feel the small road effects. The result is more noise from the actuators but I think they feel better in my rig with a higher value. I'll do some testing with lower values as well and post a softer version of the profile.

    @Bleco,

The only major difference between your system and mine is that mine is at 4.1ghz and yours is only at 2.6. I am pretty sure that you will see an increase in performance with a faster CPU in this case. I am getting a pretty steady 40fps with everything enabled running DX11 and I only have one GPU enabled on the 5970 running at the same speed as a 5870 850/1200.

    MY,

Based on your feedback I have reworked the profile and softened up the effects quite a bit. I have also reduced the acceleration from 60% down to 30% in the snyaptrix. I am using 150mm actuators so let me know if this works better for your 100mm actuators.

New profile has been posted in the F1 section.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for giving your opinion on this. However In my case, it's not cpu related. Running my cpu at 2.66ghz is not causing any bottleneck here. The little difference in fps between my system and yours is due to the fact that I was running Full 8xAA ... When setting it at 4xAA I am always getting high 40's low 50's and it's also very smooth using DX11.

    Hi Bleco,

Sorry, I thought you said that you were running at 4xAA or that would have been the first thing I told you to turn down. I'm glad you got it sorted.
